You see the
result of so much misinformation (of which dog owners are not remotely aware),

we are, and to know that the solutions are so simple.
Then you see dog owners pour out their hearts because they have
tried everything - and nothing has worked for them. You even see
the camera catch a wolf harassing a child -then, without a single command or choker chain leaving him of his own free will. Which means it is
a long-term solution because controling the dog (or the wolf) does not depend on fear of punishment (or "negative reinforcement) any more, but on the absence of the desire to be naughty. In other words it is rehabilitating the pet by setting up natural parameters which he instincually understands.
These natural solutions are therefore so much more effective than merely obeying commands (or getting bribed with "positive reinforcement) which the dog then becomes dependent on, because the actual urge to be disobedient hs now been removed. So he does not wait for or look for another opportunity to do it again..
This is
made very clear in another scene on the video, where you see
what obedient dogs can - and so often do - when the person who
took them to training is not present... We cannot all do what
one dog trainer told a dog owner to do - "Stay at home in case
you have to be there to command your dog." Even then, he had better stay
in the same room as the dog. (Or outside with the dog.) (Or follow him everywhere.)
Then
we see the mind-blowing change in these dogs, once natural
principles have been applied . The 6 year old child, Monica,
is seen handling dogs that dog trainers had given up on because
they couldn't control them with commands, treats, spray bottles, etc. This the child did purely with very simple
non-verbals that the dogs' instincts could relate to instantly. (Dogs
are not people!) And you see how this is achieved.
And so can your children...
Children then take these empowering techniques out into the
world with them. They see them work on the DVD, so they start
using them on their own dogs and on dogs that are too boistrous for them when they go visiting. It gives them such an advantage in life because dogs are everywhere, and some are as tall as the children themselves. (With twice as many legs and frequently with too much energy.)

of the movie. In the middle of their session her geyser burst, so Pam and the camera men had to leave.)
This is a true Canine Soapie, where you see how people actually live with, and interact with their dogs
- and with one another over their dogs. It is real life, not rehearsed straight lines where dogs that break their stay are
edited out, and no-one discusses their feelings. Here, you see the gamut of emotions that go with so much of dog owning.
Humour, tears, quarrelling, making up, guilt, joy - they are all caught by the lens. All spontaneous and sincere. All of which
we dog owners can relate to so easily.
And this is another of the reasons why Pam gets the results that she does - feelings are acknowledged, and are
